It was a trend that was started in L.A. but died soon thereafter with Spring and skintone pinks as the replacement.

Black nail polish has always been a trend! but each time in different meaning:

In the ancient china it was used for royalty!
Later in seventies, it was widely used by Rock males.
In nineties it became common for goth.
So,nowadays it's still used by goths and rockers, and widely by celebrities.
you just have to pay attention for the meaning.

fasion advice: go for it, but try to decorate it with simple floral or colored or even golden patterns. and DON'T wear it with black clothes.

I have mine dark purple. Looks black until you get in bright light. First time for my man feet getting painted. If I wear flip plops out to the store, what will happen? I'm gonna try it. I'm not the fem type, but this is cool!

One of the hottest nail colors for Fall is going to be Black! I seriously about fell off my chair when I read this. To me Black Nail Polish was reserved for those going for the goth look in high school. Apparently not any more.

Yeah I'd never like to see it, course I'm a guy, but it is popular.  My daughter likes to paint black sometimes and she is a tomboy defn not a goth.  She like black with funky colors.  It's more tough than evil anymore.

I think if you do black, you need to have just the right accents.  I LOVE black with white, like a 50's look on the nails.

I hate black color, I love the pink, purple, red color of the nail paints very much, in fact rose pink is my favorite.

Yeah I am not a fan of black but it can look good as a base to an overall design.  I have seen many that give me an old 50's style look

Hello friends,

Yes agree to Tonya.

If you want look like 50th century then black nail polish will be perfect one. Even I also don't like black nail polish alone. But some creative design on it will give the amazing look.

Black Nail Polish used to be known as the domain of punks and goths, but how things have changed. If you look at the top celebrities and the quality fashon mags, you'll see all the 'beautiful people' like Gwen Stafani, Jessica Alba and Lindsay Lohan adorned in black nail polish, and its not just for the ladies. Black Nails are here to stay, and anyone can get involved.

If you want to make a statement or just look and feel great, then black nails are for you. We are going to look at the trend towards this striking look, and review some of the quality brands. By the time you've finished reading, you'll be ready to go and buy some of your own. The web has access to some wonderful resources. And as the products are small in size, postage is ofter free or insignificant. ::)
