Gluing Tracks
« on: November 21, 2009, 02:43:46 PM »
Did anyone notice on the Tyra show when they showed how to glue in the weave, the weft was glued to the hair instead of the scalp?  Tyra's stylist mentioned that gluing the extension to the hair will result in hair loss.

Are stylist taught to glue to the hair instead of scalp? I've seen stylist glue directly to the hair and not the scalp.

Want to get the style you want fast and easy?
A glued in (bonded) weave is the simplest and quickest black hair weave technique. It’s so easy that if you take your time and use the right tools you can do it by yourself (your bank account will thank you).

Here are some of the positives and negatives of bonded weaves.

Positives
    * They look very natural.
    * Easy to put in and take out.
    * It’s the cheapest hair weaving technique.
    * You’ll get lots of styling options.
Negatives
    * Don’t last as long as sewn in or fusion weaves.
    * They damage your hair if you don’t take them out carefully and treat it often.

This type of weave is a great for a quick and affordable hairstyle change.

Why not just get some nails done instead?  Far less painful and less costly too.  A weave does have a certain look, but it's pretty easy to tell, and if they mess it up then you are going to spend a long time growing your hair back to the way it was.

Does anyone know if bonding glue causes allergies to the scalp.  I had a quick weave that ended up taking my hair out at the scalp permenently.  I experienced severe itching and burning symtoms.
